The Softies: "Hey, Hey Girl" (Rocketship Cover)
Today is my birthday! I am now 22 years old! Since it's my birthday and not yours and you might feel left out, I decided I would give you guy's a birthday present.So, I figure, what better a present a than The Softies covering Rocketship's classic "Hey, Hey Girl"? It took me forever to finally track this down, but I finally got my hands on it a few days ago! It comes from Vol. 2 of a series of compilation 7"s put out by Red Square Records in 2001, called The Way Things Change. It's awesome and I love it, I hope you like it, too! Happy birthday!

It's quite embarrassing to think "Wow, did The Softies cover one of my favourite Rocketship-songs", only to discover that I should have the 7" somewhere, stored in a box.

Funnily enough I'm almost twice your age (can't even remember what it felt like being 22 - then again people say I should act a bit more grown up so ...).

funnily enough ive had that comp in digital format for over a year, maybe 2. i originally found it on soulseek cause it had a figurine track on it along with some other good stuff.

some of my favorite comps would have to be... the corrupt postman tape, something's burning in paradise, take the subway to your suburb (put out by the subway organisation), why popstars cant dance (slumberland), going against maz's advice, and a great tape comp called pop machine (which included the best song belmondo ever did)..
