I could watch – no – I HAVE watched this over and over and over again, and I still just do not know how one song can be so brilliant? The solo at 1:30 is heavenly, to say the least.
Yeah Great group! Alas, this eighties girls group is unknown in France nowadays...
I discover Les Calamités one week ago (on Pop'n Cherries), but I prefer the other song Velomoteur... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBqAFluZcqk ...which look like a bit to Sumer Fun of The Barracudas. No?
"Sometimes when I'm walking down the street, oh oh, I hear a song, and I just love the beat, and I want to tell all my friends."
The stuff I post is typically for sampling purposes only. If you like what you hear go out and support the artist and buy their stuff and KEEP INDIEPOP ALIVE! If you are totally sure you want something removed, please contact me. If you're not completely sure, you should probably sleep on it and then see how you feel in the morning.
This site is run, designed, and loved by Matthew Edwards. He likes that you like to read what he writes sometimes. He lives in Towson, Maryland. It's relatively nice.

OMG you ain't kidding. That's every kind of popalicious there is.
jerom,
'velomoteur' is excellent, but there's something about this one that just gets me!
Wow, les Calamités... I won't feel younger, eh.
Anyhow: have a look at a hipster's progress. I have some MP3s if needed.
They're like Dolly Mixture in French! Super!
Yes, I love Les Calamités too. You should really try and find their album "A Bride Abattue" (New Rose, 1984), it's a lovely pure POP album.
That was AMAZING.
