Fireflies "Cherry Blossom Girl" 7"

The first single from new London/Belfast label Papillons Noirs is from the number one coziest band in all of Chicago – Fireflies. The a-side is a cover of Air's "Cherry Blossom Girl", which I think – as I've mentioned sometime before – far surpasses the original. Not only is it an absolutely gorgeous rendition, but like all of Fireflies' recordings – it's warmer than a blanket and a bowl of soup on the very coldest days of autumn and winter. Plus, I like how intimate Fireflies always feel, like he's whispering the song into your ear, like your the only who will ever hear it. Anyway, it's fantastic to see that I can now have it on lovely, warm 7" vinyl! I'd suggest throwing a little dust on it for that extra special crackle! Or maybe not.

It's alright though. You're off the hook THIS time.
