The BMX Bandits are wonderful. There's no denying that, but Pipas, Pants Yell, Lil Hospital and Secret History are not Tullycraft. All of these bands are fine, but they don't have that special something that would make me super excited about the popfest like having Tullycraft there would. I think having Tullycraft play would have raised the bar. It's been sooo long since they've played in NY! I guess I was just really hoping they were going to be playing that's all. I am excited to see the BMX Bandits.

I have to agree with Megan, Tullycraft would be the cherry on top of this festival. The thought of screaming "fuck me i'm twee" along with a few hundred other pop nerds almost makes me weep. I don't see another band on the schedule that I could imagine the anticipation for like I could for Tullycraft. They just seem to encapsulate this whole scene so well. Although, Casiotone For the Painfully Alone, Dear Nora, and BMX Bandits are all amazing and I love those bands too!

Hi, I'm an organizer at the NYC Popfest and, well, sorry we couldn't get Tullycraft. We did try! They were having weddings and obligations.

ok, my 2 cents: You guys should check out Human Television... They are CHOICE. Both albums ("all songs by human television" and "look at who you're talking to") are amazing from beginning to end. Listen to them and love it and go sunday.

Hi gang. As the drummer in tullycraft, I think I can speak with slight authority on the subject, and for the rest of the band, that yes, we would have loved to been able to attend the festival this year. What a great line-up. It's no secret that Sean and I are HUGE BMX Bandits fans. And who doesn't love Bunnygrunt? You also get Frank Boscoe's Gazetteers? So much good music. I'm kicking myself because I had promised someone in Best Fwends that I would catch a set by them at SXSW and ended up not being able to get there. Cori and Jenny love New York and Chris grew up in New Jersey. It would have been a blast to play. Thanks to the people who asked for us. Unfortunately, my sister is indeed getting married that weekend and we are fighting a deadline to get our new record finished in time to make it to press. Hopefully we'll be able to make it out there in the Fall after the record comes out. Holy Shit! the BMX Bandits what more do you guys want? Oh and will someone buy a round of shots for Bunnygrunt? they always seem so uptight on stage. Ha. Thanks.
